“We’ve been wanting to bring a fur friend into our family but after a scary experience with off-leash dogs, our daughters were fearful. We saw our pup’s photo on Facebook, ARF was advertising a mobile adoption event. I instantly fell in love with him! We came to the event and knew he was special and perfect for our family. Odie was mellow and sweet.
The only problem was my most fearful daughter and husband were at school/work so we had to wait till the next day. It’s a big decision and one I knew we had to make carefully. Saturday we all went to meet Odie and after much hesitation and with the tremendous support of Krista and Candy (the adoption angels) we got my daughter to go in and meet the pup.
Long story longer we got Odie [formerly Lex Luther] home and the whole family knew he was a perfect fit for us. He immediately bonded with the girls and now they ask to pet every dog we meet. My Charlotte is no longer afraid of dogs. Odie has truly helped her overcome her fears and completed our family. We are forever grateful to ARF. I should also share that Odie is the fourth pet I’ve adopted from ARF. Every time it’s been a magical experience.”
