ARF’s Pets and Vets program exclusively places rescued dogs. After facing an uncertain future in a public shelter, each of the dogs featured here received a second chance when our team took them in.
Our team screens dogs for qualities that will help them excel in training to become service dogs. These qualities include focus, confidence, calmness, and response to reward-based training. We treat every dog as an individual and do not consider breed mix as a factor in selection. Each dog is carefully matched with their Veteran to meet that person’s specific needs and lifestyle.
