1 year and 11 months old, 63 pounds, Oakland.
After much consideration, we’ve come to the difficult decision to rehome our beautiful, loyal, fun-loving Golden Retriever/Black Lab mix, Ronan. Ronan is a bundle of energy and really wants love an attention and to play play play.
He can be reactive (barking and straining at leash) to some other dogs while on leash. Unfortunately, his energy, combined with his size, has made him a poor match for our family, as our children aren’t able to handle him on walks.
He would benefit from a family with time and energy to devote to this loving pup, regular exercise and play, and some patience. We are working with a positive reinforcement trainer to channel some of his rambunctiousness and will continue to do so until we find him his forever home. He pretty reliably responds to commands (sit, down, stay, hold) unless he is overly distracted or stimulated. He is so sweet and loyal, and there is truly nothing sweeter than when he rests his snout on your lap when you are sitting on the couch.
For more information about Ronan, please contact his guardian at (415) 378-0001.
